Super Girl!

Recently Anna has started turning her play silks and blankets into capes, so it was perfect timing that I had one started for her on my sewing table. The pattern I usually use didn't work with the amount of red fabric I had so I improvised with ribbon.

Around my yard

We did a lot of work in our garden this spring. Dug up the crummy dirt. Added better dirt. Planted a lot of new plants then top dressed with bark mulch and installed a soaker hose. The daylilies are doing great. I love how bright and cheery they are. I have one more yellow variety in the garden, not pictured here.
Sadly, my much loved Purple Cone Flower did not survive it's transplant. One day I'll be able to dedicate more time to my garden. One day.

Too little time...not enough crafting

When I was on mat leave for a year I kept telling myself...when Anna is bigger I'll craft more. Now that Anna is bigger, I'm back to work full time and once she's in bed at 8, I don't have a lot left in me to be creative. The name of the game these days is quick and easy. I figured I should post some of my projects from this year. Sesame Street faces for Anna's 2nd birthday:
